The incident took place early Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the Rogers International School on Blachley Road in Stamford.
According to Sg. William Brevard, of the Stamford Police, a student brought a suspicious package to the school.
Out of an abundance of caution, Stamford Police were notified and students and staff were asked to “shelter-in-place” until SPD declared the school safe.
Police responded to the school with K-9 dogs and searched the package, which was deemed "nothing," Brevard said.
"Students and staff are to be congratulated for remembering their practice drills and effectively using shelter-in-place," the school said.
